This post was almost forgotten because the day was quickly over.On the morn of New Year's Eve we set out for the airport. We took a short detour to Heidelberg. The first picture is in Heidelberg on the way to the castle. It is the world's largest horse sculpture. Sorry you can't see the head--as you can see, the light turned green and I couldn't stick my arm out of the window to get a better picture.
We were on our way to see the magnificent castle! It is beautiful even in winter. The last 3 pictures were taken from the castle grounds.
I loved having Julie and Emily come for Christmas. We had a wonderful time laughing, talking, sight-seeing, and traveling. I love my sisters.

Where's the castle? The horse is kind of strange looking. But the countryside is gorgeous.
